SIMEX, the simulation exercise of the INDIMA project, should prepare the participants for new requirements in disaster management and integrate all relevant stakeholders. The use of contemporary tools like virtual reality injects and situations and the newly developed network concept makes the exercise very realistic and cost-effective. The project INDIMA is funded by European Union, Directorate-General for Humanitarian Aid and Civil Protection and was led by the Romanian Ministry of the Interior, (DSU – Department for Emergency Situations, Romania) andsupported by Hungarian Red Cross, iHELP Institute from Poland and publiComm GmbH, Austria, conducted in Timișoara, Romania from March 23rd to 25th.
In this project, publiComm GmbH managed the work packages: WP 2 planning and activities and WP 3 public relations and supported package WP 1 project management and WWP 5 simulation exercise. SIMEX had 78 participants and will conclude with the final workshop in May 2022. SIMEX, the simulation exercise of INDIMA project has the aim to prepare the participants for challenges in disaster management and the integration of all relevant stakeholders.
