Kick-Off in Brussels: EU HNS TTX. The consortium for the second tender of EU Host Nation Support exercises met on 3rd March at DG ECHO to discuss the details of the upcoming project. PubliComm GmbH will do the planning, logistics and visibility. The consortium lead is DSU (Department of Emergency Situations, Ministry of Internal Affairs, Romania), and iHELP institute, Poland is the third member and the University of Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Technology of Târgu Mureş will evaluate the consortium.
The task is to design, plan, conduct and evaluate two EU host national support tabletop exercises outside the European Union (EU HNS TTX) for actors involved in UCPM response. The consortium offered this bid with the latest updates in adult teaching and the implementation of new opportunities in ICT: online training course before the HNS TTX and the use of VR based simulations at the exercise for the scenarios. The extensive use of contemporary digital tools like videoconferences and the use of social media for the dissemination makes it possible to realise this bid within this budget and an 18 months time frame.
